With Carlton being a football club with a large supporter base, it's not uncommon for many Carlton supporters to have the Carlton Club Song as a ringtone on their mobile phones.

The Carlton Anthem is sung to the tune of a song called 'Lily of Laguna'. You can play the original tune below and compare and decide if it's better for a ringtone. I think 'We are the Navy Blues' has much better lyrics but at least once a season it would be entertaining to hear the Carlton team singing the original lyrics to celebrate a win in the changerooms. For those of you younger than 30, that strange device in the video below is called a record player. You may not recognise the tune until you get to about 1:36 into it....

In early 2009 Carlton Football Club released a rock anthem for the 2009 season. Written by former Hunters and Collectors band member Jack Howard, the song is not yet available on YouTube.
